Justin Bieber Attempted Robbery Case: 'Baby' Singer Won't Face Felony Charges in Cell Phone Incident

Justin Bieber will not face a felony charge after being accused of attempted robbery last month.

According to the New York Daily News, a Los Angeles County District Attorney dismissed the case Thursday after deciding that it "does not warrant felony prosecution." The 20-year-old Canadian pop star was facing a felony attempted burglary charge.

In May, the "Beauty and a Beat" singer was accused of trying to take a woman's cel lphone from her purse after she reportedly took pictures of him and his friends during an "altercation" with another party at a miniature-golf and batting cage complex in Sherman Oaks, Calif.

"He demanded to see her phone, then reached into her purse and pulled the phone out," read the police document.

Police reportedly interviewed nine miniature golf course employees and none of them saw an encounter or "any kind of physical altercation" between the woman and the pop star. No security cameras were at the scene to verify the accusers' allegations.

The district attorney's report stated that the woman's 13-year-old daughter began to cry during the incident, but she later told the authorities she was crying out of excitement over seeing Bieber.

According to the evaluation worksheet obtained by CNN, Bieber's case has been referred to the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office for consideration of a possible "misdemeanor prosecution."

Bieber posted a series of tweets shortly after the accusation made headlines.

"It is hard to defend myself and my privacy every moment of the day. Then to see rumors. The truth will set u free," he wrote. "My mom raised me to be kind to others. I get judged, harassed, and I try to take the high road. Sometimes it isn't easy."

He added: "But we keep trying....I will continue to be the man my mother raised. I love people and I will try to be kind even when things are not fair. Don't believe rumors...Thanks for those who stick by me and those that help me grow everyday. I love you."
