Chile plays Australia on Friday in the group stage of the 2014 Brazil World Cup. The match starts at 6:00 p.m. ET. Watch the live stream or listen to the radio broadcast via the links provided below.
One of the biggest questions for Chile heading into their World Cup opener is whether star midfielder Arturo Vidal will be healthy and able to play against Australia. Vidal has suffered inflammation in his right knee after undergoing surgery on his meniscus last month, according to the Daily Mail, and his status for Friday is uncertain.
"Arturo trained like the rest of us," Chile midfielder Gary Medel said, via the Daily Mail. "He did a good job and didn't have any pain in his knee. We hope that he can be with us for the first game. It will depend on him and he how feels. We want him to take care of himself and if he does play, we hope (the meniscus) doesn't affect him."
Vidal has trained with the team since Wednesday, and he played for 15 minutes in Chile's friendly last week against Northern Ireland.
Australia, meanwhile, is looking for their first win against Chile. In their previous four meetings, Australia has lost three and tied one. Australia's best chance against Chile is a strong scoring performance from 34-year-old veteran Tim Cahill.
