Kelly Clarkson is a mom!
ABC News reported that the 'American Idol' alum and her talent manager husband Brandon Blackstock welcomed daughter River Rose Blackstock. Clarkson took to Twitter on Saturday to share her good news.
"Our baby girl River Rose Blackstock arrived on June 12th! Thank you everyone for all of your well wishes! Brandon and I are on cloud 9!! :)," the new mom wrote to her more than nine million followers.
During an interview with Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, Clarkson revealed that she was she was ready to become a parent. The 31-year-old "Tie it Up" announced she was pregnant last November and two months later revealed she was expecting a girl.
She tweeted on Nov. 19, "I'm pregnant!!! Brandon and I are so excited! Best early Christmas present ever."
She later tweeted on Jan. 20, "We just found out we're having a girl officially! I knew it! Only a girl could cause this much drama with all this vomiting ha!"
This is the first child for the couple, who got married in a small ceremony in Tennessee at the Blackberry Farms in Walland last October. Blackstock, who is the stepson of country singer Reba McEntire, already has two children -an 11-year-old Savannah and 7-year-old Seth - from a previous marriage. Both children were present at their father's nuptials.
"More than anything, next I want a baby. Lots of them!" Clarkson told Us Weekly. "My record label is freaking out because all I can talk about now are babies. We're really excited and want to get our family started. I'm 31 and we'd like to do it the natural way. My eggs aren't getting any younger! So we're really excited."
