Ghana plays the United States (USA) on Monday in the group stage of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil. The match begins at 6:00 p.m. ET. Watch the live stream or listen to the radio broadcast via the links provided below.
Team USA will need an all-around effort from its squad if they hope to escape Group G, dubbed this year's "Group of Death." With longtime star Landon Donovan cut from the roster, the scoring burden has seemingly fallen to midfielder Michael Bradley.
USA manager Jurgen Klinsmann recently switched from a 4-2-3-1 formation to a 4-4-2 formation, which may benefit Bradley by giving him better opportunities to attack the net.
"Michael has tremendous strength, finding ways, getting in the box and joining the attack. So purposefully we moved him," Klinsmann said, via FIFA.com. "The hope was that he gets into the box. The hope was that he is actually also dangerous to score. ...
"Often we had situations where we didn't give enough support to our forwards. When you especially look at Jozy (Altidore), often we had kind of him disconnected. But if we have two guys to play up front and Michael joins, it is going to be more difficult for opponents to read us."
Ghana, meanwhile, looks for a repeat result of the 2010 World Cup, where they ousted the Americans from the tournament. Ghana star Jonathan Mensah didn't hesistate when asked who would be Ghana's biggest rivals in Group G.
"I would say the United States, because, as I said earlier, they are out for revenge because we beat them twice," he told FIFA.com. "And it's going to be the first game of the competition, so everybody will be expecting something better from Ghana and from the United States as well. So it's going to make the game very interesting. It's a difficult game, but we'll try as much as possible to win."
