Blake Shelton Planning Benefit Concert For Oklahoma, Delivers Heartfelt Performance With Miranda Lambert on 'The Voice' (WATCH)

Blake Shelton is planning a benefit concert for his home state of Oklahoma, CNN reported.

The country star told reporters of his plans after Tuesday night's taping of "The Voice," CNN reported. Shelton said plans are in the works with NBC and that things will happen very quickly. Shelton is the first star to publicly discuss intentions of raising money for the devastated area.

Shelton's "The Voice" judging colleague Usher said he hopes to be part of the benefit.

Shelton and wife Miranda Lambert performed an emotional rendition of the song "Over You" on the show, in honor of the victims and to raise money for the Red Cross. Both Lambert and Shelton live in Oklahoma.

"(Monday) was a tough day for any Oklahoman," Shelton said, according to CNN. "And you know, Miranda and I are both residents of Oklahoma. I was born and raised in Oklahoma there and Miranda lives there now. It was tough to land here in LA and look at (media coverage) on the phone and go, 'Oh my gosh, we just left there.'"

Shelton told CNN he could see his sister's house in some of the helicopter footage of the tornado sites. While the country singer has family in Oklahoma, he said they are all doing okay.

"'Over You' was just the perfect song to fit, and maybe help some people heal and mourn and all those things," Shelton said.

Shelton wrote "Over You" for his brother who passed away. He and his wife performed an acoustic version of the song that has been difficult for Shelton to perform live, Tuesday. The song was also performed by Cassadee Pope on "The Voice" last season.
