Justin Bieber and Chris Brown have linked up to record another song together. Bieber posted two photos with the 25-year-old singer on Instagram hinting to fans that a new joint project was in the works.
"Studio, me and CB did 1 for the fans," Bieber captioned a photo of the pair.
He also uploaded another picture with Brown, Akon and two other pals. Bieber and Brown previously did a song together called "Next To You," on Brown's 2011 album "F.A.M.E." Both pop stars have dealt with a ton of negative press lately.
Brown was recently released from a Los Angeles jail and Bieber was accused of being racist after two videos leaked of him making offensive comments about African Americans. There were also reports that the 20-year-old "Boyfriend" singer struck a plea deal in his DUI Miami case.
Specific details about the song have not been revealed but a source told Hollywood Life that Bieber and Brown were very happy to see each other in the studio.
"They came into the studio and were immediately happy to see one another," a source told Hollywood Life. "They gave each other a handshake with a long hug. They started play boxing and JB was like, 'Yo, what up Chris, my brother?' and Chris was like, Haha, Biebs, look at you. What it do?' They were as happy as can be, like two brothers from another mother."
The source said before the pop stars started working on the new song, they had a little talk with each other.
"They talked amongst themselves for about 30 minutes," the source said. "They talked about how they admire and respect one another and how they are going to put all of their time and energy into the music. They're both sick of being distracted by the outside world and are both getting back to the basics."
After Brown was released from jail, he tweeted that he was eager to get back to his music, writing, "Humbled and Blessed... Back to the Music and the Fans... Thank you GOD."
"It was a good session with a lot of hard work and effort," the source added to Hollywood Life.
