"The Vampire Diaries" star Ian Somerhalder has been a huge fan-favorite to play the kinky Christian Grey in the movie "50 Shades of Grey." The blue/grey-eyed heartthrob is now teasing fans with tweets that he is currently in London for a new film, Mstarz reports. He is not providing any further details and won't say what movie it is.
It has already been revealed that the movie is going to be filmed in London, where the British author currently lives. On the same day Somerhalder caused a Twitter-frenzy, E.L. James also sent out a tweet of her own. "London life...," the author wrote.
It could just be a coincidence or the two could be teasing fans with their cryptic messages but it is a known fact the two were both in London.
Fans thought Somerhalder's chances of actually landing the role of Grey skyrocketed after he broke up with girlfriend Nina Dobrev.
Fans feared that Somerhalder would not be able to play Christian Grey in the movie because Dobrev would not like her boyfriend doing the hot-and-heavy sex scenes with any other woman.
The actor also addressed the "Fifty Shades" rumors on "Watch What Happens Live" with Andy Cohen stating that "whoever plays that role is going to have a lot of fun rehearsal time."
