Mike 'The Situation' Sorrentino Arrested and Charged With Assault at Family's Tanning Salon (VIDEO)

Mike "The Situation" Sorrentino has gotten himself into another situation.

The New York Daily News reported that the former "Jersey Shore" star was arrested Tuesday, after getting into a fight with his brother, Frank Sorrentino, at the Boca Tanning Club - the tanning salon owned by his family.

Detective Lt. Steve Dollinger said Middletown Township police received an emergency call at 2:10 p.m. local time from an unnamed individual claiming that a "fist fight" had broken out in the salon. According to TMZ, the brothers had been arguing about how to run the business.

A source said that the MTV actor was trying to fire his brother. A friend to the family told E! News that the brothers "were just together a few days ago and getting along like best friends."

The 31-year-old reality star was arrested and taken into custody, Us Weekly reported. He was charged with simple assault and was released after posting $500 bail; no court date has been set. The Situation was reportedly spotted sporting a black eye and a cast in right hand.

"The Situation" rose to fame on "Jersey Shore," which ran from 2009 to 2012. In 2010, the reality star competed in the 11th season of "Dancing with the Stars"

He is returning to the small screen in the "The Sorrentinos," a show which will follow his family as they try to run their own tanning salon. The show will include his mother Linda, nicknamed "Peaches," brothers Frank and Marc, and sister Melissa.

The reality show is set to premieres July 15 on TVGN, formerly the TV Guide Network.
