Amazon Fire Release Date: Immersive App Smartphone Hits Market

Need a new smartphone? Now mobile device enthusiasts can grab hold of Amazon's Fire device upon the online retailer's July 25 release.

The gadget's custom-designed sensor system Dynamic Perspective can detect how a consumer holds and views their phone. The smartphone also has new-age interactive apps and games exclusive available for the Amazon Fire. An auto-scrolls feature allows users to navigate through the phone using only one of their hands. The phone also features pages, where users can accompany their text in a book or with audio.

"Dynamic Perspective uses a custom-designed sensor system that responds to the way you hold, view and move your phone," said Jeff Bezos, company founder and CEO stated. "It opens up a new class of immersive apps and games not possible on other smartphones, as well as one-handed navigation and gestures like auto-scroll-read long web pages and books without ever touching the screen.

The device features a 13 mega-pixel camera with optical image stabilization and 1080 pixel high definition video capabilities. It runs on a 2.2 gigahertz quad-core processor. Two gigabytes of RAM allows the phone to run quickly and smoothly. The phone's screen measures 4.7 inches. Users can hear its sound through dual stereo speakers and Dolby Digital Audio.

The device also plays 33 million songs, apps, games, movies, and TV shows. Users can also read audiobooks, magazines on the smartphone. A Mayday button allows users to virtually speak with a company associate. There are also Fire TV compatible program apps ASAP, Second Screen, and an X-ray mobile app update. Limitless photo storage in the device's cloud computing area allows consumers to take as many photos as they want.

All of the phone's features come with a year of Amazon's Prime subscription services for a limited time. Consumers can also watch unlimited streams of movies free of advertisements on Prime Instant Video.

500,000 books are also available from the company's Kindle Owners' Lending Library. Over one million songs are also available from hundreds of playlists.
