Although Honduras suffered a 3-0 rout in their opener against France, boss Luis Suarez is confident his team can bounce back and qualify for the knockout round. He also had a message to the Honduran fans: it's not over yet.
"We know that qualifying will be very difficult, but it has been a long road for the players and the coaching staff to get here and we don't want it to end now," Suarez told FIFA.com. "... We are aware what we are playing for. It is very easy to think we could score a goal and be epic and historic, but I don't think that is the idea of this team.
"The idea of the group is to do more and achieve great things. The idea is to win the thoughts of the people. I am so proud of this group and know that they will give everything."
One adjustment Suarez made for Friday's match is playing midfielder Jorge Claros in place of Wilson Palacios, who's suspended after being sent off in the first half of the game against Switzerland.
Ecuador is also looking to bounce back from their 2-1 opening loss against Switzerland.
