Amazon Introduces Appstore in 200 Countries Worldwide; Includes Limited Discounts and Promotions

Amazon announced Thursday that the Amazon Appstore will be available in 200 countries worldwide giving access to a wide range of games and apps from top publishers.

Amazon.com Inc announced the latest global expansion of its Appstore to millions of customers across 200 countries. The Amazon Appstore will feature latest apps and games from famous publishers including Disney and EA. Customers can now access the Appstore from their Android mobile devices and Amazon kindle Fires. Popular games like "Angry Birds Friends" and "Iron Man 3," are among the latest releases in the Appstore. Games like the "Temple Run 2" and "Plants vs. Zombies," and indie titles like "The Room" and "Beach Buggy Blitz" can also be accessed via the Amazon Appstore.

"We are thrilled to be expanding the reach of our global app distribution to nearly 200 countries. We think our customers will love the app selection we have to offer and also find features such as Free App of the Day and personalized recommendations very helpful as they discover and explore new apps and games," Mike George, Vice President of Apps and Games at Amazon, said in a press release. "By further expanding the distribution of apps to millions of customers around the world, we are continuing to make it easy for customers to enjoy their Amazon apps on Kindle Fire and any Android device."

Customers will also have access to latest limited discounts, promotions and "Free App of the Day" features. The "Free App of the Day" will give users a paid app free for one whole day and the app changes every day.

The Amazon Appstore offers a wide range of apps to choose from including games, health and fitness, weather, navigation, photography, social networking and much more.

Amazon.com also announced that the Free App of the Day, "Fruit Ninja," and "Cut the Rope: Experiment" will be available for free May 23 and 24. The Appstore will also include great deals of discounts on popular apps from top brands such as Ubisoft, Sega and Rovio, for a limited period of time. Angry Birds Friends and Seasons, Temple Run 2, Subway Surfers, are available for free on Amazon Appstore for a limited time.
