Courteney Cox announced on Twitter that she is engaged to her boyfriend Johnny McDaid and hopes to marry him soon.
This will be the second time Courteney Cox will be walking down the aisle. The actress took to her twitter account to announce that she is engaged to her boyfriend of eight month's, Johnny McDaid.
"I'm engaged to him!" she tweeted alongside a selfie of the smiling pair.
McDaid confirmed the news with a similar tweet sent out about the same time as Cox.
"I'm engaged to her!" McDaid - who is 13 years her junior at 37-years-old - tweeted.
Cox and McDaid were first spotted together at Jennifer Aniston's Bel Air holiday party last December. However, at that time, McDaid was referred to as Cox's "mystery man." Life & Style later confirmed his identity.
McDaid, who is originally from Northern Island, moved to L.A. to work on Ed Sheeran's new album, which they completed last December. Sheeran is a friend of both Aniston and Cox, having spent Thanksgiving with the two former "Friends" stars. Radar Online speculates that he may have played matchmaker for Cox. The 37-year-old Snow Patrol musician is also close friends with One Direction's Harry Styles, who recently tweeted to his fans encouraging them to vote for Cox in the 2013 People's Choice Awards.
Cox and McDaid recently celebrated the actress' 50th birthday together.
'It was very romantic and a beautiful setting for the afternoon. They shared a green cocktail and took a nap side by side. Courteney looked like there was nowhere else in the world she would rather be and just so happy to be doing what she was doing," a source said, according to Daily Mail.
Cox was previously married to David Arquette. The couple ended their marriage after thirteen years last year. The two have a daughter named Coco.
