Opera Mini 8 Now Available for iPads and iPhones

The latest version of Opera Mini is now available at the Apple App store for both iPad and iPhone devices.

Opera Mini 8 received a notably improved user interface that presented a flatter feel, similar to that of iOS 7. Design layers were customized to fit with the iOS style while keeping the user-friendliness of the smartphone browser. Users can also change the theme of the browser if they don't like the default theme.

The new browser also comes with two options for compressing data that can be sent through the app-the Opera-Mini mode and the Opera Turbo mode. This can benefit people who have a limit on data usage, as well as those who have a slow Internet connection.

Through the Opera-Mini mode, users could compress data by up to 90 percent. This mode was designed to help users living in areas with poor network coverage as well as those who often maximize the limit of their data plans. The Opera-mini mode compression capability was also made available on Opera Mini 7.

Some have speculated that the Opera Turbo mode may not be as efficient as the Opera Mini mode. But it will certainly still help users cap off their data and ensure Internet capability - a feature that could be ideal for most consumers. Those who have unlimited data plans can choose to turn off these data-saving features.

Users also have the option of turning the features on or off by simply tapping the Opera's logo, located at the bottom part of the browser.

Opera Mini 8 now offers an address bar and search bar similar to that of Chrome and Safari. Other notable features of the new browser include the ability to convert QR Codes automatically into URLs for sharing. The new browser can also access different search engine providers, a user can switch through IMDB, Wikipedia, and other databases.
