X17 Online reported the 32-year-old "Toxic" singer and her legal assistant boyfriend David Lucado have separated after dating for nearly 15 months. The couple reportedly broke up "a while ago," giving Spears more time to focus on her two sons Sean and Jayden James Federline.

"Britney's been focusing on her boys after the breakup," the source told X17, adding that the split was amicable.

A source stated that Spears has been busy with her upcoming concerts and music in Las Vegas. Several publications reported that the singer has been spotted alone on a number of occasions in the past weeks.

Earlier this week, Spears posted a family photo of herself with her boys - without Lucado - on Twitter.

Despite reports of a breakup, The Daily Mail reported the pair are still together and "very happy." Rumor Fix claimed that the Spears and Lucado were spotted having lunch together last Saturday in California.

"It's not true, he's just away at the moment, and they're still a couple," a source told The Daily Mail.

An insider told Life & Style Magazine that Spears was thinking about marriage earlier this year, adding that Spears "wants a traditional family, and [Lucado is] loving, down-to-earth - and a great stepfather to her sons, Sean and Jayden. She's already told friends that if David dropped to one knee tomorrow, she would definitely say yes."

Spears and Lucado were first linked to David in March 2013, two months after her engagement to Jason Trawick ended.

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight Spears said. "I'm in love. I like the fact that [Lucado is] very stubborn and he's stuck in his ways. He's just a simple man. I adore him. He's really funny and he's really passionate. I love the fact that anything he's involved in he's passionate about and it's contagious."
