Backstreet Boys singer Nick Carter is set to release a new memoir on Sept. 24.
His book, "Facing the Music and Living to Talk About It," is described as an autobiography and self-help book and will include stories about Carter's teenage years in the boy band and his struggle with substance abuse. The book will also talk about the hardships his family has endured, as well as, Carter's health problems.
"Nick leaves nothing to the imagination and offers true heartfelt advice to help readers overcome obstacles in their own lives," Amazon writes in the description.
Bird Street Books will publish the book. This would be the first time a member of the group wrote a book.
Besides the book deal, Carter is busy working on an eight album with the Backstreet Boys called "In a World Like This" which is scheduled to be released on July 30.
Perez Hilton reports Carter is reportedly teaming up with Bischoff-Hervey Entertainment for a reality show that has already garnered attention from different cable networks.
The show is said to revolve around Carter as he prepares for his wedding with fiancee Lauren Kitt and will also show him trying to make amends with his past.
Carter and Kitt have been dating for over four years and recently told People magazine how he popped the question to the fitness guru.
For the occasion, Carter told the magazine he took Kitt to the Florida Keys where he planned a romantic boat ride to a secluded island.
He told AOL Music that Kitt is busy planning the wedding and the two are trying to fit the wedding in between Backstreet Boys touring dates.
