Xbox.com Will Soon Feature Achievements and Game Clips

Microsoft Corp. has announced that Xbox.com will soon feature achievements, game clips and several other new features.

The update will debut next week, and will let players pull up their Xbox One profiles, achievements, game clips, friends and followers on the website, according to PC Magazine. Gamers have posted numerous requests for the change on Microsoft's Xbox Feedback forum, making it one of their highest requests.

A huge, Xbox One gamerpic picture will be included on the left of the new profile pages, as will a friends listing on the right side of the screen. The center of the pages will show options to edit gamertags, customize avatars for Xbox Live, and edit privacy settings. These options will be presented right under a small graphic that shows the player's current Xbox Live reputation, gamertag, and gamescore.

"And, for the first time ever, your recent game clips," Microsoft's Larry "Major Nelson" Nyub said in a YouTube video following the announcement. "You can play the game clips right there on the profile page, but you can also view all to 'view all' of your saved and upload game clips. You can also see your friends' game clips on their profile."

The update will also let players access and save Xbox One achievement art, Gamespot reported.

Prior to the announcement, these features were only available on the Xbox One system and the Xbox One Smartglass app. Xbox.com couldn't show what games friends were playing on their Xbox Ones, and was previously only able to show activity for the Xbox 360.

Microsoft described the new features as "the most requested community features." Fans of the Xbox have been encouraged to keep submitting ideas on Xbox Feedback about ideas for features they want to see.
