Rick Ross was arrested after his performance at the 2014 SuperJam in Greensboro, North Carolina.
According to the Associated Press, the "Aston Martin Music" rapper was taken into custody on Friday after he failed to show up to court on a misdemeanor possession of marijuana charge. Greensboro Police Department spokeswoman Susan Danielsen said the rapper had a warrant out for his arrest.
"After he was done performing, we escorted him to the magistrate's office," Danielsen told the News-Record.
The 38-year-old rapper was released after posting $1,000 bond.
Ross was previously arrested in 2008 for marijuana possession and carrying a concealed firearm in Miami and later in 2011 for a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge in Louisiana. He told Rolling Stone in an interview that the longest he'd ever gone without getting stoned was on a flight to South Africa.
The musician previously made headlines after canceling his Hot 107.5 Summer Jamz concert at the Chene Park Amphitheater in Detroit last weekend. TMZ reported Ross' car had been attacked by a "human blockade" of around 150 people.
"Reports from our venue operations and security teams indicate 100-150 individuals orchestrated a human blockade around the service entrance to the venue, preventing Mr. Ross and his entourage from entering the premises," Shahida Mausi, a representative from the Amphitheater, said in the statement. "A decision was made from Mr. Ross' team (that) the conditions were becoming threatening and posed a security risk."
Ross released his sixth studio album "Mastermind" in early March.
