Adam Richman: Travel Channel Pulls ‘Man Finds Food’ After Host Tells Fan ‘Grab a Razor & Draw a Bath’ in Instagram Tirade

The Travel Channel announced in a statement on Wednesday, July 2 that Adam Richman's new show "Man Finds Food" has been postponed after an Instagram fight went viral. Last week the 40-year-old foodie verbally fought back at people who slammed a picture he posted on Instagram showing off his 70-pound weight loss.

According to the New York Daily News, Richman posted a picture of himself in a large suit he ordered a year ago with the caption: "Had ordered this suit from a Saville Row tailor over a year ago. Think I'm gonna need to take it in a little... #thinspiration."

Richman apparently didn't know the term thinspiration is extremely sensitive and several Internet users lashed out at him. The veteran food host responded to one comment writing "DILLIGAF?" (Does It Look Like I Give a F**k).

From there, Richman's comments only got worse. According to the Daily News, he encouraged one woman to commit suicide and called another angry fan a c**t. Richman told a third person to "eat a bag of s**."

"Give me a f**king break," Richman wrote on Instagram. "If anyone acts like a c**t I'll call them one. It's not misogamy, it's calling a spade a spade."

"I legitimately don't give a f**k about haters & close minded internet loudmouths like you at all. And don't come to me with childishness when a hashtag throws you into a tizzy of posting comments & *never watching you again.* Seriously - grab a razor blade & draw a bath. I doubt anyone will miss you," he posted to a woman.

"Oh eat a bag of s**t, dummy," the Travel Channel host commented to another fan. "No apology is coming... Only f**up it seems was your Dad's choice to go without a condom."

In an essay on XOJane, the site explained that thinspiration is "very popular in pro-anorexia and pro-bulimia circles." After The Travel Channel got wind of Richman's Instagram comments, the network said in a statement to the Washington Post that his new show, "Man Finds Food" would no longer premiere on July 2.

The network has not announced whether the show will get a new premiere date but Richman has apologized.

"I've long struggled with my body image and have worked hard to achieve a healthy weight. I'm incredibly sorry to everyone I've hurt," he said in a statement.

Richman was previously the host of the popular Travel Channel show "Man V. Food."
