Katt Williams Allegedly Under Investigation After Threatening Man With a Gun (PHOTOS)

Katt Williams is under investigation after he reportedly pulled a gun on someone in a crowded comedy club on Wednesday.

Law enforcement officials were called to the Comedy Store in West Hollywood at 2 a.m. to investigate a 911 call claiming a man had pulled out a weapon. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Williams threatened another individual with a gun during a verbal altercation.

The 40-year-old comedian reportedly overheard the unidentified individual talking bad about him.

"[Williams] got involved in a verbal argument with somebody else up there and apparently that argument moved down the street where he allegedly pulled a gun on somebody," Sgt. Dave Valentine said. "He's being investigated, preliminarily, for threatening someone with a weapon."

However, Williams, whose real name is Micah Williams, insisted that he did not have a weapon nor did he threaten anyone. He reportedly told TMZ that he was verbally and physically attacked by four members of a gang. The "Scary Movie 5" actor reportedly left the area before officers arrived on the scene. No arrest warrants have been issued. Police are currently interviewing the alleged victim and eyewitnesses.

An Instagram video shows officers arriving to the scene and running toward the comedy club. Other social media post depicts officers standing outside the venue.

"If we get a call of a man with a gun, we're sending everyone we have," Valentine said.

Williams is no stranger to brushes with the law. Last year, he pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor charge of evading police in a low-speed chase. Williams was sentenced to 180 days in jail; 90 of those days were converted to 420 hours of community service.

In 2012, he was arrested on suspicion of child endangerment and possession of a stolen firearm, but the charges were never filed.
