Kit Harington traded his sword and amour for a more stylish and modern look, in Jimmy Choo's autumn/winter 2014 campaign for men.
The 27-year-old "Games of Thrones" actor worked with photographer Peter Lindbergh to display several different looks included in the collection, the New York Daily News reported.
According to the Jimmy Choo website, the campaign, "captures the electric atmosphere of an intense love affair, with Harington's innate strength and sensuality seducing throughout. The campaign film reveals the story behind the images where the play and interaction of the Jimmy Choo man and woman, both dominant and strong characters, fuses together to create a highly charged mood."
In the campaign, which was shot in a Los Angeles home designed by architect John Lautner, Harington wears fitted jeans, luxury sneakers and formal suits, while caressing a model's leg, taking photos and sitting on a deck facing the pool.
"It is incredibly exciting to work with a brand that is so highly regarded in fashion so it is a real honor to be the face of their campaign," Harington said in a statement.
According to Women's Wear Daily, Sandra Choi, Jimmy Choo's Creative Director, said "Kit has an innate confidence and projects a playfully rebellious nature. He has an overtly masculine style that feels effortlessly cool, and a great sense of humor, and beneath that intensity he is a true gentleman."
The campaign is also accompanied by an exclusive behind-the-scenes interview, in which the actor opens up about his personal style.
"I'd like to go for English gent, but I'm pushing it a bit there. I think very fitted clothing, and hopefully kind of stylish simple, plain, simple colors, simple shades," Harington said. "I'm a big admirer of Leonardo DiCaprio. I'm a big admirer of Jimmy Stewart, Frank Sinatra. There's a broad spectrum there - I mean, they're all very good-looking, extraordinary dressers."
Harington plays Jon Snow in the hit fantasy series "Games of Thrones". The actor is set to star alongside Julianne Moore and Jeff Bridges in the upcoming film "Seventh Son".
The campaign will be featured in the September issues of magazines like GQ, Esquire, Vanity Fair and Details.
