Singer Mya is shutting down all cheating rumors regarding her alleged relationship with Jay Z.
According to the New York Daily News, Mya has responded to rumors claiming that she had an affair with the "Beach is Better" rapper. The 34-year-old singer was slammed with questions on Instagram from fans asking whether she was his mistress.
"Heard you and Jay Z had an 11-year-affair. Are you his side chick or nah?" one user asked.
"Never did, never was, never will. Illegitimate, thirsty sources with no facts and that's the 'media' for especially today," Mya replied. "I play second to no one, pay my own bills, have my own label, own management company, rely on God only and respect myself & marriage too much for nonsense."
She continued: "False rumors are crafted for ratings & numbers. And miserable, unhappy people need someone to judge to deter the attention away from their own misery and feel better about their miserable lives. If they did it to Jesus, they'll do it to anyone. God bless."
A source claimed that the "99 Problems" rapper secretly dated and financially supported the pop star for 11 years, according to a story posted by MediaTakeOut.com.
The post claimed: "She is the person he calls when he needs to be discreet and think about old times. She is that very short named R&B singer who hasn't had a hit in awhile and doesn't really even act or record any longer. She basically lives off the generosity of Jay-Z and a couple of other guys."
The rumors come days after Beyonce reportedly accused her husband of cheating, changing the lyrics of "Resurrection" during a recent performance in Cincinnati, Ohio on last month.
According to the Daily News, instead of singing the original lyrics "Been ridin' with you for six years," Beyonce belted, "Been ridin' with you for twelve years." The power couple have reportedly been together for 12 years and have been married for six years.
Beyonce and Jay Z are currently performing together on their "On The Run" world tour. The two are said to be leading "separate lives" while on tour.
