Amanda Bynes has been arrested from her midtown Manhattan apartment Thursday night, for illegal possession of marijuana and reportedly throwing a bong out of her window.
Amanda Bynes has been making the headlines for her erratic behavior over the past year. Following a series of run-ins with law enforcement, Bynes was arrested Thursday night for illegal possession of marijuana and tampering with the evidence, NBC New York reported. The former child actress was reportedly smoking and rolling a joint in the building's lobby and a building official reported the matter to the police.
Former Nickelodeon star was in her apartment when the police arrived. According to NBC, the police found Bynes in possession of illegal weed and a bong, which she tossed out of the window on the arrival of the police.
A source close to Bynes told TMZ that the "She's the Man" actress was behaving irregularly including things like talking to herself. But when the police arrested Bynes, she started yelling at the police saying "Don't you know who I am?"
According to TMZ, sources confirmed that Bynes was initially taken to the Roosevelt Hospital to evaluate her psychiatric condition before she was taken to the police station to be processed. Bynes will appear in front of the judge Friday.
Bynes was charged for reckless endangerment, tampering with evidence and illegal possession of marijuana. Bynes has been charged earlier too by the law enforcement agencies.
