Emma Watson, who played Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter series, is under investigation after several reports claim the actress illegally employed a foreign housekeeper in the U.K.
According to The Independent, the 24-year-old is being investigated by British immigration officials for reportedly hiring an American housekeeper to clean her $3.5 million three-story London home. The housekeeper worked at Watson's London home while holding a tourist Visa.

Border Agency officials reportedly began an investigation after receiving complaints the housekeeper was hired by Watson. A source told the Daily Mail that "an allegation has been received and processed and has been allocated for further action."
The American housekeeper has reportedly been working in London for about three months - between September 2013 and February 2014.
"The Perks of Being a Wildflower" actress could face a fine of up to $17,000 if British immigration officials find that the allegations are true. Watson has yet to comment on the situation.
Watson recently graduated with a degree in English literature from Brown University. The actress posted a picture of herself wearing a graduation cap and gown Twitter.
"On the first day, I walked into the canteen and everyone went completely silent and turned to look at me," she told The Sunday Times. "I had to say to myself, 'It's okay, you can do this. You just have to take a deep breath and gather your courage.'"
