An app developer has integrated a unique voice tweeting feature in a new app for Android Wear smartwatches that serves as a Twitter client.
It may be long before Twitter actually makes its official app for Android Wear platform, but this app developer is not letting you miss out on the excitement of sharing your tweets with the followers directly from the new Android Wear smartwatch. The new app "Bunting" allows users to send tweets from Android Wear device using "Ok, Google" command.
It's as simple as speaking out your mind and the smartwatch types it for you, no matter where you are or what you are doing. The app requires users to sign in to their profiles on the paired smartphone after downloading it. Voice-typing makes it simple for regular Twitter users to tweet anytime, without reaching out to their smartphones.
"Remember that picture of David Hasselhoff talking to his Watch? I decided to use this as an inspiration for my first experimental app for #AndroidWear," Sebastian Mauer, developer of the Bunting app for Android Wear, wrote in a Google+ post. "The result is: #Bunting. A minimalistic (voice controlled) Twitter Client for Android Wear."
While smartphones have enhanced the way we communicate with people, with least dependence on PCs, Android Wear is just another addition to further simplify communications. Google's personal voice assistant for Android smartphones brings an added advantage to the new wearable platform. The possibilities for the feature on smartwatches are endless, with more developers and companies to saturate the extensive options.
Mauer said that Bunting, which currently features voice tweeting, will certainly be added with new features. Also, he plans to open-source the app to help other developers in their endeavors on the new platform.
Bunting is available for download on Google Play Store for free.
