It's been nearly two months since footage leaked of Solange Knowles attacking her brother-in-law Jay Z while leaving an after party in New York City and according to the singer, her family has moved on from that night.
During an interview with Lucky Magazine for its August 2014 issue, the 28-year-old singer downplayed the incident, referring to the fight as "that thing" and insisted that there are no hard feeling between her and Jay-Z.
"What's important is that my family and I are all good," Solange said. "What we had to say collectively was in the statement that we put out, and we all feel at peace with that."
In May, Beyonce, Jay Z and Solange Knowles were seen leaving a Met Gala after party at the Standard Hotel in New York. In the elevator security camera footage, Beyonce's younger sister is seen lashing out at Jay Z - kicking and punching the rapper several times while her bodyguard tried to contain the singer's actions.
The video was leaked by a hotel worker, who was fired following the incident. The employee reportedly sold the three-plus minutes of footage for as much as $250,000.
A source told Us Weekly that the fight was "over something so small and stupid."
After the video leaked Beyoncé, Jay Z and Solange Knowles released a joint statement saying, "As a result of the public release of the elevator security footage from Monday, May 5th, there has been a great deal of speculation about what triggered the unfortunate incident. But the most important thing is that our family has worked through it.
"Jay and Solange each assume their share of responsibility for what has occurred. They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family."
In the publication, the "Lucky One" singer also dishes about her music and personal style. Solange, who donned a white and mint casual outfit for the cover of Lucky, said longtime friend Kelly Rowland encouraged her to pursue a career in music.
"I was nervous to talk to my parents," she recalled. "Part of my mom was like, 'Please be normal and get a regular job,' because she had gone through so much with my sister. She knew how strong-willed I was and how the industry was probably not going to be the most supportive thing for a 15-year-old girl."
Solange signed a record deal with Columbia and released her first album "Solo Stars" in 2003.
