15-Year-Old Killed Siblings: Was Jealousy A Motive in Fatal Stabbings?

A 15-year-old boy was arrested for murdering his younger brothers in Utah according to the Daily Mail. The unidentified teen is being accused of stabbing his 4-year-old and 10-year old adopted brothers while babysitting.

The boys mother was out at a dance recital with her other children when she walked in and found the body of the 4-year-old. Authorities later found the second body when they arrived on the scene.

Although authorities have yet to release a motive for the crime, neighbors speculate it was jealousy.

"You could tell there was a sibling rivalry between the biological son and the adopted boys but I never imagined it could go this far," said a neighbor who wished to remain anonymous.

According to Todd Richardson, a Davis County Sheriff, the boy was found walking aimlessly with injuries they say were "consistent with this kind of attack."

"He spoke pretty bluntly with our investigators," Richardson said. "We believe the suspect acted alone. As time goes on, I think it will be released why he did what he did."

There have been no reports of a violent history for the alleged murderer but News Max has reported the boy ran away from home two years ago.

"From what I understand, he's a model student, from what I've heard. I've never had any complaints about him or his family," said Ann Durrwachter, a neighbor. "I always figured him as a model 15-year-old that every mom dreamed of having. He was just carefree almost. He just kind of did his own thing as most boys do."

The big brother turned suspect of murder was expected to receive an award at West Point Junior High for academic achievement. Chris Williams, a Davis School District spokesman, credited him as a member of the track team.
