Robert Downey Jr. and his wife Susan are adding to the clan.
The 49-year-old "Avengers" actor announced on Twitter Wednesday that he and his producer wife will soon welcome their second child together. The couple is reportedly expecting a baby girl in November, according to the actor's social media accounts.
He also confirmed the news on Facebook, writing: "Um. I don't know if it's a 'man's world', but I'm certain women run it. Susan and I are therefore delighted to announce we are expecting a baby. Girl. November. rdj"
Downey and his wife married in 2005 after meeting on the set of "Gothika" in 2003. In February 2012, the couple welcomed their first child together, a son named Exton Elias Downey. Shortly after, Downey told Esquire Magazine that he doesn't want his kids to think of him as a superhero.
"Do I want to be a hero to my son? No," Downey told the publication. "I would like to be a very real human being. That's hard enough... Hero, to me, is not applicable to the human experience."
The actor also has a 20-year-old son, Indio, from his first marriage to Deborah Falconer. Indio was arrested for cocaine possession on June 29 in Los Angeles and checked into a rehab facility in Malibu, Calif., soon after.
Downey, who battled a drug and alcohol problem for years, released a statement about his son's legal trouble.
"Unfortunately there's a genetic component to addiction and Indio has likely inherited it," the actor said. "There is a lot of family support and understanding, and we're all determined to rally behind him and help him become the man he's capable of being."
