Jimmy Kimmel and Molly McNearney are the proud parents of a new baby girl.
People Magazine reported that the 46-year-old the Jimmy Kimmel Live! Host and his wife welcomed their first child together, a baby girl named Jane, on Thursday in a California hospital. A representative for the couple told People that "Molly is doing great."
"Congratulations to my beautiful and very tough wife @mollymcnearney on delivering our baby girl this morning" Kimmel wrote on his Twitter account.
Kimmel returned to Twitter to thank his fans for their engagement and support.
"Thanks for all your kind baby wishes - turns out, not ALL tweets are mean!" He posted, in reference to his "mean tweets" segments on "Jimmy Kimmel Live".
The new mom also tweeted about the latest addition to her family, jokingly writing, "Kids, don't do drugs. Until you have a baby. Then do ALL OF THEM."
Kimmel and McNearney -- a co-head writer on Jimmy Kimmel Live! -- started dating in 2009 and got engaged while vacationing in Africa in 2012. They officially tied the knot in July 2013. During an appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" in February, Kimmel let it slip that his wife was pregnant.
"I like the name Karate," he joked. "I think Karate Kimmel has a great ring to it."
Kimmel is already a father to his 20-year-old daughter Katherine and son Kevin, also 20, both from Kimmel's ex-wife Gina Maddy. The former couple married in 1988 but divorced in 2002.
