Another "Glee" star is now coping with the loss of a loved one.
Actress Becca Tobin is mourning the death of her boyfriend, Matt Bendik, who was found dead in a Philadelphia hotel room on Thursday, according to Us Weekly. Bendik's body was allegedly found by a hotel maid, one day after the 35-year-old club owner was spotted spending time with his girlfriend and her friends.
Bendik was reportedly in Philadelphia for a business trip. It is unclear where the 28-year-old actress was staying when her boyfriend was found.
The Philadelphia Medical Examiner confirmed Bendik's death but did not provide any further details. No cause of death has been announced and no media outlets have reported any suspicion of foul play.
The Hollywood Reporter noted Bendick ran several major clubs around the country, including DBA Nightclub and AV Nightclub in Los Angeles and director of Nightlife at Addiction night club in Hawaii.
According to The Modern Honolulu, Bendick began his business at the age of fifteen and previously recalled, "My parents look at the stack of bills - there was over $10,000 dollars. Naturally, they immediately thought I was into something illegal. It took a few weeks to convince them there were zero drugs. No alcohol. Just kids coming to listen to music, dance and cut loose for a few hours."
Friends close to Bendick said they are "shocked and devastated" by news of his death, because he is "not known as a partier". DBA nightclub posted a tribute to their deceased owner on Thursday night, which simply said "We love you Matt."
Tobin quickly rose to fame playing mean-girl cheerleader Kitty Wilde on the FOX musical series since season four.
This weekend will mark the one year anniversary of the death of Tobin's co-star Cory Monteith. The 31-year-old actor died of an overdose of heroin and alcohol in a Vancouver hotel in July 2013.
