Atlanta Braves Vs. Chicago Cubs Live Radio Stream: MLB 2014 (LISTEN)

The Atlanta Braves visit the Chicago Cubs on Friday for Game 1 of their series. The game starts at 4:05 p.m. ET. Listen to the live radio broadcast below.

Atlanta snapped their four-game losing streak with a 3-1 win on Thursday against the New York Mets. Braves starting pitcher Aaron Harang gave up only one run on four hits in the seven innings he pitched, keeping the Mets frustrated throughout the game.

"I thought Aaron pitched a great game," Mets manager Terry Collins told the Associated Press. "We didn't have great swings on him. In the fifth inning we had a chance to get back in the game. We've come up with a big hit during those innings lately, and tonight we didn't get it."

Braves first baseman Freddie Freeman provided two hits and an RBI to help Atlanta grind out a win.

"This was only a four-game losing streak, but you never want to come into a place and get swept in four games," Freeman told MLB.com, via the Associated Press. "Even though we still lost the series, it could have been a lot worse."

Atlanta can make it two straight wins with a victory on Friday. The Braves will send Alex Wood (6-7, 3.14 ERA) to the mound. Wood is looking to bounce back from Sunday's 3-1 loss against Arizona, whom he allowed two earned runs.

Wood will be opposed by Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta (5-1, 1.78), who earned a no-decision in Sunday's 2-1 loss at Washington. In the wake of pitcher Jeff Samardzija being traded to Oakland, Chicago is looking for Arrieta to fill in as the team's new ace pitcher.

"I was the guy in college and enjoyed that role," Arrieta said. "The college game is completely different, and the season is structured a completely different way, but I still understand that role."
