Dead Body Rolls Out of Coroner Van, Lands in Middle of the Road (VIDEO)

A dead body slipped out of a coroner's van on Friday.

The driver immediately returned to the Feasterville, Pa., road to gather both the corpse and the gurney it was placed on, according to First Coast News.

The Bucks County Coroner's Office said a "mechanical malfunction with a rear door" caused the accident.

"Care was taken to respect the deceased individual in this instance," the office added, according to The Courier Times. "The Bucks County Coroner's Office deeply regrets this incident and will take steps to ensure that it is not repeated."

One driver said he had never seen anything like the carcass before in his life.

"Just when I thought I've seen everything," recalled Jerry Bradley in a photo he posted on Facebook Friday. "That's a dead body on a stretcher that launched out of the back of a coroner's vehicle in Feasterville. Still hard to figure out why I was the only one who stopped."
