The 2014 Home Run Derby also has a new format, as reported by USA Today Sports.
1. Each team gets five hitters, as opposed to four hitters in the previous years.
2. Each hitter gets seven outs per round instead of 10.
3. Home runs totals from the first two rounds are no longer combined.
4. A new bracket format guarantees one AL player will face one NL player in the final round.
