‘Real Housewives of Atlanta’ Star Apollo Nida Ordered to Pay Nearly $2 Million in Fraud Case

Apollo Nida, who appears on "Real Housewives of Atlanta" with his wife Phaedra Parks, has been ordered to pay nearly $2 million in restitution to the victims connected to his fraud case.

TMZ reported the reality star will have to pay $1.95 million in restitution after being convicted of conspiring to commit mail, wire and bank fraud. According to court papers, the restitution is "due and payable immediately."

The funds paid will go to various parties such as JP Morgan Chase, the IRS, Delta Airlines, and the states of California, Connecticut and Texas.

Here's the breakdown showing what Nida must pay, according to court documents obtained by TMZ:

-- JP Morgan Chase: $828,300
-- IRS: $127,011
-- Delta Airlines: $24,985
-- State of California: $15,778
-- State of Connecticut: $45,525
-- State of Texas: $39,275

Nida was sentenced to eight years in prison after pleading guilty to federal charges in May. He originally faced up to 30 years behind bars. Nida was accused of laundering $2.3 million and stealing the identities of more than 50 people to set up bank accounts, transfer money and cash US Treasury checks.

"I want to apologize to the victims. I want to apologize to my family for letting them down," he said during the court appearance.

"RHOA" co-star Kandi Burruss told Hollywood Life that Parks is dealing with her family's legal problems by focusing on work. After not appearing at her husband's hearing, gossip sites reported that the reality star was planning on leaving her husband.

"Phaedra's doing great," she told Hollywood Life. "She's basically working. That's how I deal with things too; when I have a lot going on, I just put more into work. I know that she's promoting her book and doing the book tour and stuff like that and she's not really trying to focus as much on what's happening."
