Sorry Jelena fans, but it looks like Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are done for good. Gomez will be celebrating her 22nd birthday on Tuesday, July 22 and Bieber won't be helping her celebrate, according to a new report.
Last year, the 20-year-old pop star surprised Gomez at her birthday bash but this year he will reportedly spend that day hanging out with his friends. A source told Hollywood Life that Bieber "will be going paintballing on Tuesday and Selena is not only not going, but she wasn't even invited. They are not doing well right now."
As of now, it's not clear how the "Slow Down" singer will celebrate her birthday. Bieber and Gomez split in June after getting into an argument over Scooter Braun's wedding. The "Boyfriend" singer decided not to ask his girlfriend-at-the-time to be his date because he thought it would attract too much paparazzi attention and take away from his manager's special day. Gomez didn't understand and was reportedly upset with the Biebs.
"Scooter made it clear that he just wanted Justin as that would allow the focus to be on their special day and not what Justin and Selena were doing," a source told Hollywood Life. "Justin obeyed Scooter's wishes which in turn got Selena upset and that got the ball rolling for them to fight and break up and not hang out during the 4th [of July weekend]. It all spiraled from there."
A different source told Hollywood Life that Gomez's family is extremely worried and want to her check back into rehab. Hopefully Gomez's pals Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift will help the singer celebrate her birthday, despite rumors that they both cut ties with Gomez over her romance with Bieber.
Last month, reports surfaced that Swift was upset Gomez jumped back into a relationship with the pop star.
"Taylor is completely baffled that Selena has yet again taken Justin back. She thinks that Selena is a lost soul and nothing will make her realize how bad Justin is until she no longer has a career," the source said at the time. "Taylor is convince3d that this relationship has and will ruin her health and life but she is finished with trying to help, she feels like she has tried enough and it hasn't worked."
