Jason Biggs Apologizes for Joking About Malaysia Airlines MH17, ‘People Were Offended, and That Was Not My Intent’

Jason Biggs is offering his apologies to anyone he might have offended after tweeting insensitive comments about the Malaysia Airlines plane crash. The "Orange is The New Black" star has since deleted the controversial remarks after he came under fire on Thursday for joking about Flight MH17, which crashed in the Russia-Ukraine border.

"Anyone wanna buy my Malaysia Airlines frequent flier miles?" Biggs posted shortly after the tragedy.

Immediately fans started criticizing the actor telling him that the joke wasn't funny and it was "too soon." Instead of apologizing, Biggs fired back at the people criticizing him, according to the New York Daily News.

"Hey all you 'too soon' a**holes - it's a f**king joke. You don't have to think it's funny, or even be on my Twitter page at all," he posted.

"The idea that I wouldn't have any empathy 4 the victims or their families because I make a joke is absolutely ridiculous," Biggs added. "U know that, right? Truly- you losers are literally trying to find s**t to get angry about. Channel your issues elsewhere."

However, later Thursday night the "American Pie" star did offer an apology via Twitter and said he did not mean to upset his anyone.

"Hey all - ok, so - I am deleting my previous tweets. People were offended, and that was not my intent. Sorry to those of you that were," he posted as an apology. "This is obviously a horrible tragedy, and everyone - including myself - is sad and angry about it. Sending positive thoughts to the victims and their families. P.S. No one is making me send these tweets - I simply understand my comments might have come off as insensitive and ill-times. For that, I apologize."

This is not the first time Biggs' Twitter page has drummed up some controversy. The actor, who is a fan of ABC's "The Bachelor" and "The Bachelorette," ruffled some feathers when he joked about the death of Eric Hill, who appeared on this season of "The Bachelorette."

After taping the show, Hill died in a paragliding accident.

"Crazy rule change - instead of voting off the contestants, this season "TheBachelorette gets to kill them off, Biggs tweeted at the time and created a social media firestorm.
