San Diego Comic-Con is only a few days away and "The Walking Dead" gave fans a sneak peek at an exclusive Season 5 key art with Michonne (Danai Gurira) and several other main characters. In the original picture (released on Sunday), Michonne was partially covered but you could tell that she was handcuffed. She had her right hand bawled into a fist and looked like she was ready for battle.
On Monday (July 21) AMC released the rest of the poster and it features Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), Carl Grimes (Chandler Riggs), Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus), Glenn (Steven Yeun), Maggie (Lauren Cohan), and Abraham (Michael Cudlitz). All the characters are handcuffed and look like they are in fighting position. The people of Terminus better watch out.
According to Comicbook.com, the poster will appear in banner ads around the Comic-Con convention from July 24 to July 27 and "The Walking Dead" Comic-Con panel is scheduled for Friday, July 25 at 12:20 p.m. PDT in Hall H.
It was previously rumored that the trailer for Season 5 would also debut during the convention, on July 25. Creator Robert Kirkman recently dished about the upcoming season to Entertainment Weekly and said that fans won't be disappointed.
Kirkman also assured that Terminus' story would be revealed. Check out what he had to say below:
"In our first episode, it's very much going to focus on the story of Terminus. There's a lot of big revelations that haven't really come out that I think people are gonna be pretty startled by. There's a couple other revelations that I think people might've gotten a little bit of a lead on. We'll definitely be defining those in some cool ways and confirming some theories and shooting down others, which is very exciting. But I think the coolest thing about coming back to Season 5 is that we really hit the ground running," Kikrman said.
"What I mean by that is that we very quickly deal with the situation that we left them in - this trapped, victim situation where they're kind of at the mercy of the people of Terminus. We really kind of expand the story from there very rapidly, so I think this is going to be a pretty fast-paced season with quite a bit going on," he added. "News is already that Seth Gilliam has been added, and we're bringing in new characters like we always do, and I think Season 5 is going to be our best season yet. I think when people finally see the premiere, they'll see what I'm talking about."
What do you think of the Comic-Con poster? Season 5 of "The Walking Dead" premieres in October.
