SDCC 2014: 'Game of Thrones' Star Pedro Pascal Helps Debut New Ommegang Brewery Ale During #‎ValarHourSDCC‬ (PHOTOS)

Pedro Pascal hosted Ommegang Brewery's #‎ValarHourSDCC‬ during San Diego Comic-Con International to debut the latest “Game of Thrones” inspired beer.

Pascal, who played season four fan-favorite character Oberyn Martell, was behind the bar serving the Valar Morghulis Dubbel Ale on tap. Pascal offered his thoughts on the brew to the “Game of Thrones” blog.

"Rich, delicious ... and a little dangerous," Pascal said. "A good poison."

As for who Pascal would chose as his GOT drinking buddy, the former Red Viper chose none other than heavy drinker Tyrion Lannister.

Pascal also caught up with Huffington Post TV and Mashable during SDCC 2014. The actor admitted to Mashable he was heart broken when he learned the fate of Oberyn.

"I knew what was coming because you have to protect yourself emotionally" with a show this brutal,” Pascal told Mashable. “I fell in love with the character…He broke my heart."

Pascal described the biggest challenge of playing Oberyn to Huffington Post TV. In “A Song of Fire And Ice” saga, Oberyn is described as confident, charming, hypersexual, yet deadly.

“I would say that the character had a confidence that was really important to portray,” Pascal told HuffPost. “Any human being would have trouble feeling that level of confidence -- a dangerous sort of confidence, you know? He sort of owns his overconfidence -- with major consequences, as you could see. And then physically, it was a very challenging role.

“Also, I was very aware of the series, as millions are. I was a big fan of the show, and it was the first time I was ever asked to be part of something I was so hyperaware of as an audience member. So there was a lot to battle internally there. But David and Dan made it so easy.”

“Game of Thrones” will hold a SDCC 2014 panel on Friday, July 25 in Hall H at 1:40 p.m. PST. Author George R.R. Martin, showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, and cast members Gwendoline Christie, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Natalie Dormer, Kit Harington, Rose Leslie, Rory McCann, Pedro Pascal, Sophie Turner and Maisie Williams will be attending the panel.
