Zoe Saldana may be "thrilled" about her pregnancy, but the actress isn't so happy that her secret has been revealed.
The 36-year-old "Guardians of the Galaxy" actress slammed the media after reports about her pregnancy was made public. She took to her Twitter account to express her anger over the media's invasion of her "privacy."
The actress first tweeted to her 592,000 fans a quote from labor activist and former Polish president Lech Walesa, "I believe that any violation of privacy is nothing good." Saldana then added her own words, "I would like to thank all the (expletive) media for invading our privacy."
The backlash comes one day after E! Online claimed that the "Star Trek Into Darkness" actress was pregnant with twins. A representative for the actress confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that the actress was three months pregnant with her first child.
Saldana has not made any public announcement regarding her supposed pregnancy, but sparked major rumors after showing up to the premiere of "Guardians of the Galaxy" on Monday night sporting a tiny belly bump. A source told Us Weekly that the actress "will only announce the news when she's ready," but she is "thrilled" about the pregnancy.
The actress is known for keeping a low-key profile on her private life - even secretly marrying Italian artist Marco Perego in June 2013 with no confirmation of her nuptials until December that year.
"I love what I do so much, but I love my [personal] life more," Saldana told Ocean Magazine. "I realized through the years of being in this business that the only way to maintain some kind of sanity is to protect that which is most dear to you, which is your life and everyone that's in it."
Saldana is currently on an international promoting her upcoming action film "Guardians of the Galaxy," also starring Chris Pratt, Bradley Cooper and Vin Diesel.
"Guardians of the Galaxy" will hit U.S. theaters on Aug. 1.
