Royal Caribbean cruise caught on fire on Monday in route to Cococay, Bahamas, forcing the ship to settle at a dock for further investigation overnight.
The fire started at the rear mooring dock at 2:50 a.m. ET and was extinguished by 4:58 a.m. Monday morning. According to various reports, guests had to report to evacuation stations to ensure its 2,224 passengers and 796 crew were all accounted for.
A press release from Royal Caribbean's website stated the safety of their guests and crew is top priority, and will continue to focus on their needs and concerns currently.
The ship, Grandeur of the Seas, was redirected to Freeport, Bahamas dock for further evaluation.
No serious injuries have been reported. The cruise line's medical staff responded to many calls for assistance, reports ranging from fainting to an ankle sprain.
The cruise line said the ship is still fully function allowing guests the option of spending the day on board. Guests in the affected staterooms will be put up in Freeport hotels overnight.
This is not the first report of fire on a commercial cruise line this year.
According to USA Today, this past February a fire erupted in an engine room of the cruise ship Carnival Triumph which left the ship in the water in the Gulf of Mexico.
The ship was left without power leaving the vessel unable to provide essential services for guest such as food preparation and running water. Passengers spent four days on Carnival Triumph before being towed to Mobile, Ala.

The cruise line requests that only families of guests use the telephone numbers in order to receive information as quickly as possible.
