The Washington Nationals play the Miami Marlins on Wednesday in Game 3 of their series. The game starts at 12:40 p.m. ET. Listen to the live radio broadcast below.
Miami can sweep Washington in the three-game series with a win Wednesday. The Marlins took Tuesday's Game 2 with a 3-0 victory, thanks partly to Giancarlo Stanton's two hits and two RBIs, which ended his streak of going hitless in his last nine at-bats.
"I haven't felt good for a while now," Stanton told the Associated Press. "I did a little different set in pregame, so hopefully I'm feeling better and more comfortable at the plate and today was a good plus."
Marlins starting pitcher Henderson Alvarez limited Washington to three hits and zero runs through seven innings, earning his eighth win of the season.
Brad Hand (2-2, 4.19 ERA) is tasked with following Alvarez's performance. Hand is coming off Friday's 2-0 win at Houston, whom he kept scoreless through 7 1/3 innings.
"I am still trying to go out every fifth day and solidify myself in this rotation," Hand said. "Nothing is going to be given. I'm going to have to prove it every fifth day."
Hand will be opposed by Nationals pitcher Tanner Roark (10-6, 2.82), who's also coming off a win. The second-year pro gave up just one earned run on three-hit ball at Cincinnati Friday while fanning six batters, building on an impressive rookie season that he finished with a 7-1 record and a 1.51 ERA.
"I took the opportunity and tried to run away with it," Roark said of earning a spot in Washington's pitching rotation this season. "It's been a good ride so far."
