L.A. Dodgers NEWS: Vin Scully Returning For 66th Season In 2015, Yasiel Puig Helps Announce The Decision (VIDEO)

Longtime Los Angeles Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully announced he would return for his 66th season and call games next year. The announcement was made during Tuesday's game against the Atlanta Braves with the help of Hyun-Jin Ryu and Yasiel Puig.

Scully, 86, plans to call Dodgers baseball games for the 2015 season.

"It is very difficult to say goodbye," Scully said in a statement, via MLB.com. "God willing I will be back next year. Over the years I have been blessed to have so many friends including those that sit in the stands and listen as well as those at home, who listen and watch. It is just too hard to say goodbye to all these friends. Naturally there will come a time, when I will have to say goodbye, but I've soul-searched and this is not the time."

The Dodgers announced the news in the middle of the second inning of Tuesday night's game, in which 40,000 fans received a Scully talking microphone. Ryu, Puig and Justin Turner were part of a pre-recorded mock press conference that played on the video board to inform fans of Scully's planned return.

The announcement earned Scully a standing ovation from the fans, and the night was capped with the Dodgers walking away with an 8-4 victory.

"He is the Dodgers," Matt Kemp said, via MLB. "He's the Dodgers' voice. He's the man. So I think when everybody heard he was coming back, there was a big announcement and the fans enjoyed that, and they get to hear him another year. And we'll see if he comes back after that."
