Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and more of your favorite DC superheroes are snapping a selfie in honor of their New 52 redesigns.
IGN reports DC has declared August the “selfie” month for their heroes. DC will release New 52 covers featuring “selfies” of their characters throughout the month of August.
IGN previewed the New 52 “Wonder Woman #34”, “Superman #34”, “Batman '66 #14”, “Justice League Dark #34” and “Justice League #34” covers on their website. Click here to check out the covers.
DC superheroes stole the spotlight during this year’s San Diego Comic-Con 2014. DC Comics set up a booth at the convention, but the real drama came during the Warner Bros. panel.
The cast of “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” made a surprise appearance during the Warner Bros. panel. Director Zack Snyder helped introduce Henry Cavill, Gal Gadot and Ben Affleck onto the stage. The production also unveiled the first image of Wonder Woman and a short teaser for the film.
Sadly, it is unlikely anyone outside of the Comic-Con attendees will ever witness the teaser.
“[The teaser is] just going to live in that hall. We’ll post extended trailers and stills, but that presentation, that was just for those fans,” Sue Kroll, president worldwide marketing and international distribution, told Variety.
For those who haven’t seen the teaser, check out the description published by Screen Crush below:
“The panel began with a teaser for the upcoming film, in which we see Ben Affleck’s Batman in an armored suit, standing on a rooftop in the rain. His eyes are glowing a mysterious blue. Batman rips a blanket off of the Bat signal and shines the spotlight into the sky. Just then we see Henry Cavill’s Superman hovering over the Bat signal, his eyes glowing red with rage. The trailer cuts back to Batman, his eyes still glowing a threatening blue, and the two look ready to brawl. The footage cuts to the official logo.”
“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” will be released to theaters on May 6, 2016.
