Megan Fox Goes on Low-Carb Diet To Lose Weight Post Son's Birth

Megan Fox revealed she went on a Paleo-style diet to lose weight after giving birth to her second child.

Megan Fox attributes her sudden weight loss after giving birth to her second child, son Bodhi, to a low-carb, sugar-free Paleo-style diet. She revealed her sleek and slender body at the July 29 premiere of "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles". She looked stunning in a form-fitting mini-dress that emphasized her toned legs and tiny waist.

Fox said that she has been on low carb and no sugar diet, which reportedly helped her lose baby weight.

"I've had to eliminate bread from my diet, so I'm on that high-protein, very low-carbohydrate, very low-sugar diet," Megan told E! Online. "It's kind of awful."

The actress' weight loss is quite inspiring. However, this is not the first time that she has achieved a sexy and slender body in a few months after pregnancy. She got back her shape in no time after she gave birth to her first son Noah two years ago.

"Let me tell you: the first time I didn't do anything. I was just lucky and I was younger," she admitted about losing weight for the first time. "The second time it wasn't coming off the same way."

Fox got pregnant with her second child while shooting "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles". She suggested during the filming of the Comic-Con in San Diego, Calif., that one has to take extra care while working during pregnancy.

"You're kind of fragile in the first trimester," said Fox, adding, "You have to watch the heat that you're exposed to and you're supposed to sleep extra. There's no time or room for that when you're filming a movie, so it's a little stressful."

"Everyone, as a team, had to unite and make sure that I was safe and healthy all the time," she added. "It added a little bit of an extra challenge, but I don't think it took away from the experience on screen."

Talking about her movie, "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles", Fox said that she has always been in love with Ninjas. She is considered to be a geek and that is probably the reason she is a part of the film. She plays the role of the reporter, April O' Neil.

"I was really in love with them," Fox told Entertainment Weekly. "I have an older sister that's 12 years older than me, so part of it initially was because I wanted to be like my big sister. But, it's a really cool project for me because it was a huge part of my childhood, and it's always been."

"Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" is slated to hit the theaters on August 8.
