At the end of the Season 5 trailer for "The Walking Dead," fans caught a glimpse of Beth's crazy storyline. After being kidnapped in Season 4, Beth has been holed up in some creepy weird hospital with some lady cop (Christine Woods) who slaps her.
No one knows for sure how the hospital is connected to the Season 5 storyline but the theories are already rolling in and one suggests that the hospital and Terminus are connected. There are also rumors that the hospital is behind the crosses (the ones on the car that kidnapped Beth).
It was previously thought that Father Gabriel was behind Beth's kidnapping but that may not be the case anymore. The Spoiling Dead posted some news on Facebook, writing:
"The crosses [as in the cross at the back of the car that took Beth] are connected to the hospital... [New character, from comics] Gabriel knows the truth about Terminus... Those behind the crosses are similar to the Saviors [of the comics], but they are not the Saviors. The people of terminus are dealing with them, including capturing and shipping people off... Train car 'A' stands for arrivals and train car 'D' stands for departures."
Some fans also had their theories about what was going on at the hospital and suggested that the lady cop might be forcing Beth to help them experiment on people in hopes of finding a cure to end the apocalypse.
"I think that as we have seen in the trailer in the hospital they are kind of doing experiments so maybe they are trying to find the cure and are experimenting on innocent people that the people in terminus capture and send to them in those train cars that say departure," one fan posted.
That's a pretty solid theory and it could explain why Terminus appears so warm and welcoming but people were screaming inside the cars. Maybe the ones already at Terminus know that people in train car "D" are shipped off the hospital. But does that explain the piles of bones on the ground throughout Terminus? If they are trying to find a cure, could they still be the cannibals?
Another fan also had a theory and mimicked the above comment.
"Beth is part of the 'system' that is searching for a cure. They set up base camp in the hospital and experiment with different chemicals and organisms so as to find a cure that can remove the zombie virus from the brains of the living, and to prevent people from reanimating after dying, aka preventing fresh corpses to become zombies, even if they are bitten by zombies.
The create samples and inject them into the bodies of test subjects through their arms. That's why you see the cast on Beth's arm.... The meaning of 'the greater good' as of lady cop's speech may refer to 'the cure.' 'Every sacrifice we make' may mean that they need the test subjects to get bitten by zombies to test if the samples for vaccines work. They keep vaccinating new arrivals with different samples and sacrifice them, and this is why the lady cop said, 'Every sacrifice we make needs to be for the greater good.'"
If this fan is correct, could that explain the shrine back at Terminus? Maybe once a test subject dies, they add something about that person to the creepy room with all the candles.
