'Star Wars: Episode VII' Plot: J.J. Abrams And 'Batman vs. Superman' Director Zack Snyder Engage In Twitter War (PHOTOS)

Directors Zack Snyder and J.J. Abrams have allowed the “Star Wars” and DC Universes to crossover in honor of their ongoing Twitter battle.

The Star Wars/DC mash-up began when Snyder posted a photoshopped image of Henry Cavill as a Sith. Abrams responded with an image of “Star Wars: Episode VII” star John Boyega as Batman. Snyder later shared a photo of Batman and “R2BIN” with his followers. Check out images from Snyder and Abrams’ Twitter war above.

Snyder’s “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” was a hit at San Diego Comic-Con this year, but “Star Wars: Episode VII” decided to skip out on the convention. Both directors have refused to divulge details about their production’s plot anyway, but “Star Wars 7” might be dealing with a major plot leak.

Badass Digest reported alleged “Star Wars” plot spoilers back in July. The spoilers claim Boyega is the leading male in the production, allegedly playing a Storm Trooper deserter. Boyega eventually teams up with fellow “Star Wars” newcomer Daisy Ridley when they find a severed hand holding a lightsaber.

[Warning: potential spoilers ahead!]

“Their quest takes them off world, and they meet up with Han Solo and Chewbacca, who aren't flying around in the Millenium Falcon anymore but are piloting... well, that could be a spoiler,” Badass Digest reports. “Anyway, Han and Chewie recognize the lightsaber as Luke's, and they say they haven't seen their friend in thirty years, since the events of Return of the Jedi.

“So begins a quest to find the missing Jedi Master. Meanwhile, on an ice planet, nefarious forces are building a super weapon, one capable of destroying not planets but entire solar systems.”

However, neither Abrams nor Lucasfilm have commented on the authenticity of the alleged spoilers. “Star Wars Episode 7” will be released to theaters on Dec. 18, 2015.
