Working from home just got a whole lot more pleasurable. A 33-year-old British woman turned sex toy tester says she makes a living while having 15 orgasms a week.
British mother of two, Cara Houiellebe has thousands of toys stocked in her home office, where she takes the objects for a spin and reviews them for her blog. Houiellebe has brought in $25,000 annually since she started her raunchy business five years ago, and spends seven hours every week reviewing the items.
Houiellebe told the New York Daily News that toys have always been a part of her private sex life, giving her the idea to start writing about it while testing toys simultaneously. She said she loves her job and would never dream of returning to her boring, previous position at a bank.
Manufacturers from across Britain send her toys for free to be reviewed on her website. She also writes articles for companies as an industry expert and consultant, according to the Daily News. Her friends are always asking which toys are the best, the cheapest, and how they can get broken toys replaced.
According to News.com.au, the sex toy connoisseur said her favorite product on the market is the USB-re-chargeable iGino One. Houiellebe is also a big fan of the Doxy Wand, and said she always recommends small bullet vibrators. Her partner Darren, 37, isn't turned off by her occupation, and in fact, met Houiellebe while he was working as an IT consultant for a website called SexToys. She also worked there for four years before creating her own blog in February 2012.
She told News.com.au that her partner sees the job as a way to spice up their sex life, rather than replace it. When she gets her shipment of toys to try in the mail, he reportedly helps her, and it has become intertwined with their lives.
Houiellebe has two children aged nine and 19 months. She and her partner live with his mother in Lincolnshire, England.
