Anna Paquin Schools Larry King On Bisexuality (VIDEO)

Larry King doesn't seem to think someone can identify as bisexual while being married to a partner of the opposite sex – at least that's the way it seemed after he grilled actress Anna Paquin on her sexual preferences during the July 31 episode of his show, "Larry King Now." The "True Blood" star who famously indentifed herself as bisexual several years ago, had no problem schooling King on the finer points of sexual preferences, according to Salon.

King started off discussing Paquin's role as psychic Sookie Stackhouse in the smash HBO series, set to conclude at the end of the summer after seven seasons. Then, in typical King fashion, he referenced her marriage to co-star Stephen Moyer and asked Paquin if she considers herself a "non-practicing bisexual" due to their union.

Paquin responded by saying that she and her husband are happily – monogamously – married but being bisexual isn't a past-tense thing. If you're straight and are with a partner, but they die or you break up with them, it doesn't prevent your sexuality from existing, she explained. It simply "doesn't work like that," Paquin stated.

Paquin barely got her last point out before King told her to "stop with wishful thinking," reported Salon. Then he dove into questions about the actress' views on the expansion of marriage equality and how the LGBT community owes television for its increased visibility.

Going in a different direction, Paquin explained that education is important for progression and change. Activism and outspoken people also play a huge part, she added, which can push those who are uncomfortable with LGBT folks to re-evaluate their views.

According to DigitalSpy.com, Paquin brushed off criticism of her sexual orientation in 2012, saying that she isn't required to explain her relationship with Moyer. They have twins together, a son named Charlie and a daughter named Poppy, who were born in September 2013.
