Ben Affleck was spotted on the “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” set looking a little extra grey than usual.
A fan was able to capture a glimpse of Affleck on the “Batman vs. Superman” set, according to Batman-News. The actor was allegedly standing in front of the wreckage of Wayne Financial in Metropolis. Detroit news station WXYZ also caught an aerial view of the set, which revealed the new Wayne industries logo. (Click here for the aerial footage)
However, Affleck hasn’t been caught on set in his Batsuit, but filmmaker Kevin Smith recently revealed why the actor wanted to quit superhero movies all together, according to Comic Book.
Affleck made his superhero debut as Marvel’s “Daredevil,” along with actress Jennifer Garner, who later became his wife. The film bombed amongst critics and fans alike, but bad reviews weren’t what turned the actor off to superhero movies.
“Everyone I know who’s ever put on like a mask in a movie and s***, they’re like, ‘Don’t ever do it. It’s hell on earth and s***,’” Smith told Comic Book during San Digeo Comic-Con 2014. “Ironically enough, there’s a friend of mine, who played a superhero in a movie, and he once said to me, ‘Remind me, if anyone ever offers me a costume movie again, I never want to do this s***, because this suit is uncomfortable.’ The movie was Daredevil, and the guy rethought the whole decision about being in a f***ing costume and whatnot.”
“Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” will be released to theaters on May 6, 2016.
