"Botched," E! Television's nightmare plastic surgery reconstruction show, will be back for another season in 2015 after the season finale on August 17, E Online reported.
The show follows Dr. Terry Dubrow and Dr. Paul Nassif, both husbands of "Real Housewives," who have seen plastic surgery disasters from model and icon Janice Dickinson to Madonna impersonators, and even Justin Bieber fanatics.
The series tells the patients' back-stories and follows their journeys from surgery to recovery, ending with a post-op debut of their new and improved bodies, the New York Post reported.
Each episode is an hour long and content centers on "frightening facelifts, shockingly bad boob and hideous nose jobs, to devastating tummy tucks and lopsided butt lifts."
The season premiere of "Botched" is headed to be E!'s most watched docu-series in the demo and in total viewers since 2011. The show averages 1.54 million viewers and nearly 1 million demo viewers in its slot. The show had its most-watched premiere ever on Sunday, bringing in 1.7 million views, according to Jezebel.
The first season featured over 20 surgeries, ranging from more routine nose jobs to a "uniboob" case, as well as a counseling session for a desperate man who spent over $100,000 attempting to be a Justin Bieber look-alike. Thousands of people have submitted stories for the second season hoping to be on the show, including a former athlete in need of facial reconstruction and a woman who contracted a flesh eating disease while she was having surgery in Mexico.
The series is said to have captivated audiences in its premiere because most people only see the benefis of well-done plastic surgery and aren't exposed to the other side of it. Some of the surgeries appeared to be beyond the point of repair, Deadline reported.
"In the quest for perfection, we've tapped into a pop culture zeitgeist, sharing cautionary tales, positive outcomes and true transformations," Network EVP Jeff Olde said, according to Jezebel.
