New Orleans Saints Vs. St. Louis Rams Live Radio Broadcast: NFL Preseason Week 1 (LISTEN)

The New Orleans Saints play the St. Louis Rams on Friday in their 2014 NFL preseason opener. Kickoff is at 8:00 p.m. ET. Listen to the live radio broadcast below.

After an injury-riddled 2013 season, several key starters for the Rams are expected to remain on the sideline for Friday's preseason opener. Quarterback Sam Bradford, who missed most of last season with a torn ACL, left tackle Jake Long, who also suffered a torn ACL in 2013, and center Scott Wells, who fractured his left foot last season, all are expected to watch the game from the sidelines.

Rams coach Jeff Fisher insisted Bradford was ready to return, but felt it unnecessary to have him play in Week 1 of the preseason.

"He's done everything we needed to see right now at practice," Fisher said, via Pro Football Talk. "So he's going to play in the preseason, unlikely that he's going to play this week. But he'll get plenty of snaps with the starters because he needs to, he needs to get out there and work with Scott and the rest of the guys.

"But it's not because he can't, it's because it's our choice; as I have said before I'm really pleased with where he is and what he's doing. You see every day at practice he's doing something, that you just go, 'That's Sam,' that's what we expect from him."

The snaps at quarterback will go to Shaun Hill, Austin Davis and Garret Gilbert.

For New Orleans, it's uncertain whether quarterback Drew Brees will play. Brees missed at least two practices last week because of an oblique strain, but the Saints haven't yet ruled him out of Friday's game.
